How to choose the right product

In short: what sets this collection apart

This collection brings together the TuttiBear gummies with probiotics. The individual product is Probiotic Gummies: each serving of 2 gummies includes a microbial culture complex (35 strains of Lactobacillus, Bifidobacterium, Lactococcus, Leuconostoc, Streptococcus and Pediococcus) and a digestive enzyme complex (acid protease, amylase, lipase, glucoamylase, papain, cellulase, lactase, neutral protease, beta-glucanase, pectinase, hemicellulase and xylanase). The jar contains 60 gummies, that is, 30 servings, and the directions on the label are to chew 2 gummies per day, preferably after a meal. The base is pectin (vegan), sweetened with maltitol and sugar-free.

Besides the individual gummy, this collection includes two packs that contain it: the Glow Pack and the Performance & Power Pack, which group gummies from the range. If you are looking for probiotics only, the individual gummy is the direct option; if you want to build a routine with more than one goal, the packs bring several products together in one set.

An important note on what can be claimed: there are no authorised health claims for probiotics in the European Union, so on this page you will not find promises of effect — only a description of what studies have examined and the composition on the label. You can see the wider context in Digestion and Metabolism.

What the research has examined

Studies on probiotics are heterogeneous: strains, doses and populations vary, and results are not transferable from one context to another. Three points that the available evidence addresses:

  • Intestinal transit in adults. In a meta-analysis of 15 clinical trials with 675 adults, probiotic supplementation reduced intestinal transit time compared with the control, with a more marked effect in people with constipation than without it 1.
  • Functional constipation. In a randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial with 228 adults with functional constipation, 28 days of supplementation with Bifidobacterium animalis subsp. lactis HN019 did not change the primary outcomes; in a later analysis of participants with fewer than 3 bowel movements per week, an increase in weekly frequency was observed 2.
  • Specific clinical contexts. A Cochrane systematic review assessed synbiotics, prebiotics and probiotics in people with chronic kidney disease 3, and a meta-analysis of 30 trials with 1,827 patients with type 2 diabetes analysed the effect on fasting blood glucose, insulin, HbA1c and HOMA-IR 4. These are populations with diagnosed health conditions — the results do not extrapolate to healthy adults.

These data describe what has been studied, not what a product does. Doses used in trials are not instructions for use.

Who this collection may suit (and who it may not)

This collection may interest you if you are looking for a supplement in gummy format, plant-based and sugar-free, that combines microbial cultures and digestive enzymes in a single daily serving of 2 gummies. The gummy format is practical for those who do not like capsules or powders, and the label indicates taking it after a meal.

It may not be the most suitable choice if:

  • You are looking for a product with specific strains and doses validated in a particular trial — in that case, compare the strain list on the label with the one in the publication you are interested in.
  • You have a diagnosed health condition (for example, chronic kidney disease or type 2 diabetes) or are taking medication: talk to a healthcare professional first. The reviews in these populations assessed interventions with specific strains and doses, which may not correspond to those of an over-the-counter supplement 3 4.
  • You are pregnant, breastfeeding or looking for a product for children: the label recommends consulting a healthcare professional before use, and this collection does not define doses for children.
  • You have immunodeficiency or are receiving immunosuppressive treatment: the label itself asks for prior medical consultation.

If your goal is a broader routine, you can compare with other collections in Women's Health or Weight Management.

How to choose between the gummy and the packs

Before deciding, it is worth separating two questions: do I want probiotics only? and do I want a routine with more than one goal?

If the answer to the first is yes, Probiotic Gummies is an option: 2 gummies per day, 60 gummies per jar (30 servings), with a microbial culture complex and a digestive enzyme complex.

If you want to combine goals, the packs group gummies from the range into a single set: the Glow Pack and the Performance & Power Pack. Both include Probiotic Gummies, so you do not need to buy them separately if you choose one of them. To see all the available sets, see Packs.

Three quick checks before buying:

  1. Confirm the daily serving on the label (here, 2 gummies) and work out how many days the jar lasts — 60 gummies give you 30 days.
  2. Read the warnings list: it contains polyols and excessive consumption may have a laxative effect; it should not be used by children and the recommended daily dose should not be exceeded.
  3. If you take medication or have a health condition, settle that conversation with a professional before ordering.

Limitations and label warnings

The label of Probiotic Gummies is clear about what should not be done: do not exceed the recommended daily dose, keep out of the reach of children and do not use as a substitute for a varied and balanced diet or a healthy lifestyle. In case of pregnancy, breastfeeding, illness or taking medication, a healthcare professional should be consulted before use. People with immunodeficiency or receiving immunosuppressive treatment should talk to their doctor before use. The product contains polyols and excessive consumption may have a laxative effect.

There are also limitations that come from the evidence itself, not from the label. Studies on probiotics use specific strains, doses and durations, and effects observed in one population do not automatically transfer to another: a meta-analysis that included adults with constipation does not describe what happens in healthy adults 1, and the trials in people with chronic kidney disease or type 2 diabetes refer to those populations 3 4. In addition, in a randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial with 58 participants with overweight or obesity and type 2 diabetes, the benefits of supplementation with Akkermansia muciniphila for 12 weeks depended on baseline levels of that bacterium in the gut 5.

For all these reasons, this page describes composition and scientific context — it does not promise results. If you want to go deeper into the European regulatory framework, see Vitamins and Immunity and the Energy and Focus collection to complete your reading.

Frequently asked questions

How many gummies should I take per day?

The label indicates, for adults, to chew 2 gummies per day, preferably after a meal. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.

How many days does one jar last?

Each jar contains 60 gummies. At 2 gummies per day, that gives you 30 daily servings.

Are Probiotic Gummies vegan and sugar-free?

Yes. The base is pectin, without gelatine, and the product is sweetened with maltitol, sugar-free. It contains polyols, so excessive consumption may have a laxative effect.

Can I take them if I am pregnant, breastfeeding or taking medication?

The label recommends consulting a healthcare professional before use in case of pregnancy, breastfeeding, illness or taking medication. People with immunodeficiency or receiving immunosuppressive treatment should talk to their doctor before use.

What is the difference between buying the individual gummy and a pack?

The individual gummy lets you manage just one product. The packs (Glow Pack and Performance & Power Pack) group several gummies from the range into a single set and include Probiotic Gummies, so you do not need to buy them separately.
